Carla Stokes is a professional saxophonist, music producer, and educator from Cape Town, South Africa. A graduate of UCT’s South African College of Music, she holds a Bachelor’s degree in Jazz Performance (2018) and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education in Music (2019).

Starting her musical journey with classical clarinet at eight, she later mastered tenor saxophone and has performed in various notable bands such as The UCT Big Band, Lady Day Big Band, and Crimson House.

Carla has played at major festivals, including the Cape Town International Jazz Festival and the Standard Bank National Jazz Festival. In 2020, she ventured into music production, releasing three original singles blending jazz saxophone with electronic music.

Today, she is a sought-after performer at corporate events, weddings, and venues across Cape Town, including The Zeitz Mocaa Museum and The Twelve Apostles Hotel, with notable performances for Porsche South Africa.
