Born in the vibrant suburb of Cafda on the Cape Flats, Didier’s musical journey began at sixteen when he inherited his grandfather’s saxophone.

With no formal training, he spent countless hours teaching himself to play, and by nineteen, his passion for music led him to perform in his church band.

In 2004, Didier seized an opportunity to join the Police Band in the Eastern Cape, leaving behind his job in Cape Town to fully commit to his musical aspirations. This bold move marked the beginning of a remarkable career.

Over the years, Didier has performed with iconic musicians like Zayn Adams as a member of Pacific Express and taken the stage at the Cape Town International Jazz Festival. He has become a sought-after entertainer for corporate events, weddings, and other high-profile functions.
